Title: OATLEY surname

My maiden name was Oatley and I am attempting some general research into the name, not just my own ancestors.

My own Oatleys are mostly from Somerset; would love to hear from anyone who either is an Oatley or has them in their tree.

Hi, not able to assist as in being a family member or anything.  But thought you might be interested to know that we have a suburb in Sydney, Australia called Oatley (I was born there) and I remember that it was named after someone.  If you like I will try and find out any research on the name there and let you know.  My email address is
