My great grandfathers name was Donald MacDougall.
(known as Daniel, legal name Donald)
I have him born- 14 October 1890
at 3 West Street Glasgow, Tradeston, Lankenshire.(he died in Australia in 1963)
married Euphemia MacDonald 7 December 1916 in Blythswood,Glasgow.
his parents-
Duncan Macdougall born 20/5/1860 Kilbrandon & Kilchatton Argyll, Scotland
Euphemia MacDonald born 6/12/1866 Tyree Argyll
I have no deaths for this couple.
I am looking for information on Duncan mentioned above
and also his father also named Duncan MacDougall and his mother Margaret Martin.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi MacDougall
This looks like Donald and family in the 1891 Census, all the children born in Glasgow:
Duncan McDougall 31, seaman, b. Kilbrandon, Argyllshire
Effie McDougall 25, b. Tyree Argyll
Grace McDougall 6
Duncan McDougall 4
Neil McDougall 2
Donald McDougall 5 Months
Mary Ann McDonald 20, servant, b. Tyree Argyll
Address: 3 West Street, Tradeston, Glasgow
I assume Effie above links to your post www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,229724.new.html#new which Mo has been working on.
Don't worry about the Daniel and Donald name issue. In Scotland, this is one of those name combinations that are interchangeable, see www.whatsinaname.net
Regards.

This looks like a likely entry for the marriage of Duncan's parents:
MARGRET MARTIN Marriages: Spouse: DUNCAN MCDOUGALD
Marriage: 02 JUL 1858 Anderston, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland
And entry in the 1861 Census:
Duncan McDougall 10 Mo, visitor, b. Kilbrandon
Margaret McDougall 24, visitor, b. Stornoway, Rossshire
Malcolm Morrison 22, boarder, Ship Carpenter, b. Stornoway, Rossshire
Flora Munro 34, wife, b. P Kilbrandon, Argyleshire
Peter Munro 46, head, Attendant On Dredgirg (?) Machine, b. P Kilbrandon, Argyleshire
Address: 44 Hill St, Anderston, Glasgow

Not looked at the certificate but from searching Scotlandspeople looks like Euphemia McDonald/McDougall died in 1913 aged 45 in Greenock East.
Looking at her death cert should will tell you if Duncan was still alive when she died so could narrow down the search for his death.
