Hi RC's
Does anybody have access to, or know where I can purchase copies of
Jones, David S.D. Mr Grass the Gamekeeper. [Birmingham, 1984]
Jones, David S.D. Tales of the Grass Gamekeepers. [1994]
I live in North Wales and my local libraries don't have copies.
Thanks in advance

Your local library should attempt to locate these publications for you.
maybe you just enquired and were told "no we don't have it/them" and did not volunteer any other information.
The proceedure is to ask your local library if they could borrow these publications from elsewhere, and your library should at least attempt to locate where it is available.
If they do not manage to locate copies, then you could contact Birmingham library (as it is a Birmingham publication they could possibly have it/them) and ask for advice on how you could obtain copies
Hope this is of some help

I googled it and from that it looks like there is a copy at the B.M.S.G.H. library,
(open to members only, is housed in the Kingsley Norris Room on the
ground floor of the Birmingham and Midland Institute in Margaret Street, Birmingham) I'm not sure if that's a lot of help unless you are or know a member tho!

Thank you all for your efforts.
I've given my local library all of the information that I gave you. They don't have it on their system.
I shall be going further afield, and will probably end up contacting Mr. Jones.

Hi Carole,
did you have any luck with the book (Mr Grass the Gamekeeper)? I too am in north Wales, Flintshire, and would love to have a read of it. I am descended from John Walter Grass, who moved to Cheshire in the 1870s.
Incidentally, one of my aunties married a Darlington from Chester.
Thanks, Darren.

Hi Darren
I managed to get it from Chester library in the end, they keep a copy in their special vault so it takes a couple of weeks to come through but it was worth it.
The Grass family were that of my ex-boyfriends so i'm not looking into it anymore as I've moved to London and its difficult to keep in touch (parted on good terms!)
However the Darlington's I'm researching are all mine so if I can help at all I'd be happy to.
