Hi Sitheil,
I am a Murray and my great great grandfather was a James Murray born about 1811 his wife Margaret Dundas born about 1811. Had a son that I know of John Murray(b 1822) although on 1841 census had his age 5 years and also had a brother Robert born about 1840 (all on 1841 census).
Dont know whether this fits into any of your history, but seems coincidental that you should be looking for a Margaret Dundas.
Anyway if I can be of any help let me know.
Good Luck
bullym
PS My great grandparents had a daughter Margaret Dundas Murray here in Australia as well as other children.

Hi there from Sydney Aus.
My James Murray also had a son named John Murray b 1822, however your James couldn't have been born in 1811 if John was born in 1822, as James would have only been 11 years old at the birth of his son!
My Murrays also went to Govan, Glasgow eventually and had been in Ireland in Cork and that area as the father was a manager of a woolen tweed mill. Family were from Selkirkshire.
Cheers
Sandie

Searching for my three long lost cousins whom I have never met, namely:
(1) William George Murray born 1938 (so now aged 69) at 140 Elder Street but living at 61 Uist Street, Govan, when married (Church of Scotland) in 1971 to a Chinese girl Geraldine Yeh Hoon Chee, daughter of Chee Ching Hai and Chua Hio Keo. William (probably known as Billy) was an Armament Artificer by occupation which, to you and me, is a skilled technician probably in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.
(2) Anna McCourt Murray born 1942 (so now aged 65) at 140 Elder Street. Don’t know her married name.
(3) Robert Murray born 1947 (so now aged 60) at 140 Elder Street but living at 6 Elderpark Street, Govan, when married in 1969 at St Saviour's RC Church, Merryland Street, Govan to Mary Agnes Cassidy of 35 Merryland Street, Govan, daughter of Peter Cassidy and Theresa Hughes. Robert is/was an Electrical Engineer.
All three of my above cousins are children of William (Billy) and Annie Murray (formerly Kemp), of 140 Elder Street, Govan, known to be at that address in 1947. Billy was divorced from Annie by the time he died in 1983 living at 17 Second Avenue, Renfrew. He may have been with Elizabeth McTeir at the time.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
