Hi, from the IGI children of John Stringer and Harriett
MARY STRINGER -Christening: 23 JAN 1837 Saint Michael, Lichfield, Stafford
SARAH STRINGER - Christening: 05 APR 1841 Saint Michael, Lichfield, Stafford
THOMAS STRINGER - Christening: 01 FEB 1846 Saint Michael, Lichfield, Stafford

From FreeBMD Deaths -
John Stringer Dec1/4 1839 Lichfield Vol 17 p53
Harriett Stringer June 1/4 1841 Vol 16 p231
Might be worth looking for Harriett and the other children.
Good luck
PS I have Stringers from Hamstall Ridware, Staffs on my tree at the end of the 1700s - apparently they were Catholics. If you get any Stringers from the Ridwares let me know!

Only just found your post because it did not refer directly to Eccleshall surname but I do a search from time to time.
I am doing one name study of Eccleshall and can confirm all the information that others have replied with.
Thomas Stringer's' mother Harriett (formerly Eccleshall) died in 1850 and Thomas (the youngest child) was adopted by Thomas Eccleshalll (Harriet's brother) and Ann (formerly Woolley).
