Hello

Im trying to find the birth and/or Baptism record for

William Davies born 1840c Bretton
also
Samuel Davies born 1841c Bretton

Possible mother Catherine Davies (unwed)
There are possible births on freebmd for Gt Boughton.
Any help would be appreciated.

I can't help you with birth/baptism, but have you seen the 1841 census..........

Bretton.......

William Davies / age 1
Samuel Davies / age 6 months

Living with.....

William Davies / age 40
Catherine Davies / age 20
Joseph Davies / age 15
Ed Davies / age 6
Elizabeth Davies / age 5

As you know, ages were rounded up/down by 5 years on the 1841. Could this be the boys, living with grandad and mum ?

Yes thats them on 1841 still having trouble finding out who his
parents are ! As there are a few family members elsewhere who are back in 1851.

Catherine is favorite so far to be his mother but it seems unlikely
that both John & Samuel are brothers and both born out of wedlock. Catherine married John Hughes and moved to Michigan,
John & Samuel stayed here.
