How would I go about finding a marriage in the Islington area about 1919?

Hi Woolspinster,

The easiest way is to search the marriage index for a GRO reference (volume and page number)
http://content.ancestry.co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8965&offerid=0%3a7858%3a0

and order the marriage certificate here:
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/
