Trying to find this marriage around 1873 but of course the spellings could be totally different as I have seen these spelt differently on certificates etc. I know they lived and had children on the Co. Down side of Belfast but don't know where they originated. Can't find them on Emerald Ancestors of UHF. Rosemary

Could be a niece perhaps. Thanks, I'll keep her safe and do a bit more investigating. Rosemary

I have Blakely relatives in County Down. There are many records of Blakely people at the Clonduff Presbyterian Church outside Rathfriland . They recently put that info (deaths and baptisms) online. Check out www.clonduff.co.uk I was amazed at the number of Blakely people listed.

Thats great news about Clonduff site. In case you dont know a BLAKELY family tree exists but it may not be your line at all and is in volume 34 in the Blackwood Family history manuscript trees in the LinenHall library, Belfast.
I suggest you ask them for photocopying estimates if they think your knowledge relevant and be prepared to pay the extra for post and packing. However if the material is really relevant when you get it, I suggest a further donation to this unique library that is always needing extra funds. Good luck, Jim
