I am searching for information on James Guerin b1845 in Co Clare. He was married in London in 1875 but don't know when he moved away from Ireland.
This is all the information I have, so any help towards possible births, parents, etc would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
I have a note of the Griffith Valuation of 1855 which states that Michael Guerin and Denis Guerin owned land with others (including my relative) at Caherbarnagh, Liscannor, Clare. Does this help in any way?

Hi Therese,
I will jot the details down. When you have as little information as I do, everything is a help.
Thank you for taking the time.

My grandmother was Nora GUERIN before she married. She was born in Moynoe near Scariff in County Clare in the 1880s. She had a brother Denis and several sisters. Their parents were Peter GUERIN and Bridget HART. It was a second marriage for Peter. his father was called Martin and I believe but don't know for sure that he is connected to Cornelius GUERIN who appears on Griffiths Valuation in that area
if you thnk they might be connected get in touch and I'll send further details. I'm also in touch with some other GUERIN descendants around the world

hI there , I am also researching guerin from Moynoe Clare my great grandmother Margaret O'Brien married Robert Guerin and they had about 5 children. Is there a connection would like to hear from you. Brad.
-
Hi - I searched all the Catholic parish registers for Moynoe and Feakle in 2000 following on from information sent me by someone else and have details of Robert and Margarets marriage in1867 and their 11 children plus all the other GUERIN entries from these registers. I haven't found a direct connection between this family and mine, but it seems
I'm also in touch with other GUERIN descendants.
If you would like copies of this information let me know and I will forward it via email attachment to you direct (and anyone else who is interested).
I also have a lot of info from census returns and birth, marriage and death indexes and certificates

Hi
I am researching my Guerin family history. Patrick (m Winifred Mulvihill), John (b c 1826) m Bridget Conlon), Lawrence (m Margaret Larkin), Bridget (m Joseph O'Brien)and Catherine (m James McNamara) Guerin all migrated to South Australia on the ship "Hooghly"in 1846. There are several references to the fact that they came from County Clare but no more specific. (Tombstone, death records and hospital admission records) They would have been born between 1814-1830. We know that Bridget and Catherine were siblings and guess that the others are probably. Parents for one are recorded as John Guerin and mothers surname Ryan. They were Roman Catholic.
Would you have any knowledge of this family or have access to the birth records around the Six-Mile-Bridge area?
Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated
Virginia

John Guerin and his wife Margaret (nee Egan) had a daughter Mary baptised on 3 August 1859 in Kilmihil, Co Clare.

Hi, I am working on my Guerin line: William Guerin b. c. 1827 Tipperary and became a soldier in the 70th Regiment of Foot and ended up in New Zealand.
Our research indicates that we may be related to a Patrick Francis Guerin born in Tipperary (1863- 1909) and living in Brooklyn, New York as he put a notice in a New Zealand paper in the 1890s looking for our Guerins (William and his wife Catherine Sweeney Tierney Guerin).
DNA has shown a potential link of a cousin of mine with the descendants of Bridget Guerin Boulton (c. 1827-1901) (daughter of Michael Guerin and Nancy/Anne Cahalan) from (Clooninihy) Terryglass, Tipperary who arrived in NSW Australia in 1849. Bridget's sister Anne and three brothers also arrived in NSW, Australia and their parents listed as being both dead by the time the boys left Ireland in 1854.
I'm keen to investigate these lines further if possible to see if we can connect our Guerins and get more of an idea where in Tipperary our William Guerin came from.
Best wishes, Astrea

Attn Astreanz.
The Catholic Parish Register for Terryglass shows William Guerin was baptised Apr 12 1828 & living in the townland of Clooninihy County Tipperary.
His parents are Michael Guerin & Nancy Cahalan
I cannot find Bridget's baptism as the register starts July 1827 but Ancestry show May 27 1827.
Anne= Oct 12 1833,
John= Jul 8 1835
Patrick= Jul 2 1839
Michael= May 5 1841
5 other siblings are on the free internet register if you are interested?
