I am looking for James Clark occupation Mariner and his family. living in 11 Philpot street in 1841,
(victorian LondonStreets stae in 1862 Philpot Street ,St Philip,Mile end old town)
the only information i have is from his sons marriage certificate as follows
1841 Marriage solemnized at St John's in the Parish of Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex
5th September 1841 between
John Thomas Clark occupation Druggist address 11 Philpot Street Father John Clark occupation Mariner
Mary Tattersfield address 8 Spencer street Father James Tattersfield Occupation Fish Monger
Both full age
registration district Bethnal Green
On an old map this Philpot street is in St Philip, Stepney,I'm hoping the folowing details may help locate the street on the census.
Philpot Street stretches from Commercial Road East north to New Street. Roads that Cross Philpot street are Rutland Street, Walden street, Varden street, Nelson Street. Turner Street runs Parallel to the west and H??dford Soc. Street to the east.

In the 1871census Rutland street is in Parliamentary Borough of Tower Hamlet in the Hamlet of Mile end old town Parish of St Philips
In the 1891 census Parliamentary Borough of Stepney, other details the same.
After the marriage John T Clark went to live with Mary in 24 Spencer Street then moved don't know when but before 1864 to 70 Rutland street.
Where i have found then in !871,81,91.
Any information on them and their family also very welcome.

Unfortunately your Clarks were no longer living at 11 Philpot Street ,Saint Philip, Mile End Old Town. This is who was there in 1861...
