Hello
I'm interested to follow through on the line of children born to David William and Ethel Pearl BARRETT (nee Hawke) who married in SA 26 April 1913.
If someone could lookup births of their children and then their subsequent marriages, I'd be most appreciative. :)
Cheers, Chris

Chris - there are no children born to this couple to 1928 when the index for South Australia stops.

Might be worth following up.

Thanks Skipworth. A possibility - I see he was born in NSW but enlisted in Vic.
What about deaths for the parents David & Ethel. Would someone mind having a look for them - dont know what state - if this is the right family, it seems they must have moved around a bit.
Cheers, Chris

Here is Ethel's death in NSW in 1966
36539/1966 BARRETT Ethel Pearl Father: GEORGE Mother HELEN District NOWRA
Couldn't see anything for David William to 1976.

Cando,
When I read your post I wondered if we had the wrong person because Ethel Pearl Hawke was born 1893 (parents Ruth Dew and William Albert Hawke).
Your dates could be a fit, but the parents names are definitely incorrect. :(
So I decided to do a bit of googling and came across a couple of websites showing Ethel Pearl Hawke 1893 - 1944. Maybe the death is under Hawke ? Maybe Barrett is a different spelling? ???

Hi Chris,
You should have checked RootsChat. ;) This connects with a lot of work I did for the lovely Dave in Wiltshire. (as well as a certain PM) ;)

What fascinating reading. I loved it. :D
I'm sure I would never have unravelled all that. I've been thinking to myself that I cant wait to get to the library on Tuesday to check everything out, but I couldn't wait until Tuesday, so decided to ask RC for some help and now as you say 'all is revealed'. Excellent work.
Now there is heaps more to enter on the data base. No rest for the wicked ;D ;D
Thanks Kris and everyone else.
Cheers, Chris
