Looking for other researchers or any information surrounding my EVANS family from Llangynog, please!
In 1841 Census the family was living at Tan y Graig, Llangynog, Montgomery, Wales.
The family remaining in the home at this time were
EVANS, Robert M 55, EVANS, Sinah F 50, EVANS, David M 25,
EVANS, Jane F 20, EVANS, Morrice M 15, EVANS, Sinah F 14,
EVANS, Thomas M 12.
My ancestor John Evans had already left home and was probably already in Australia at this time. He was part of 96th Manchester Regiment of Foot in Danadby, also 11th Regiment, Welsh Constabulary, Mounted Police.
All family John, and brothers and sisters that I know of were born in Montgomeryshire (probably Llangynog).
Would appreciate absolutely any info or advice anyone may have come across or does come across.
Unfortunately, maiden name of mother Sinah is unknown, as is marriage date, but would assume it is +/- 5 yrs of first child I know of (David) born abt 1816.
Thank you!
