Hi,
Are there any Aussie Flemings out there?
I am trying to trace Walter & Ada Fleming ex London, who were £10 Poms, arriving in Aus sometime in 1950/1960s.
I don't know where they settled.
Also, Ada's brother Alf Gibbons, who came a short time later.
If you can help, I would love to hear from you.
Blessings

Hi Bob,,
Thanks for that. I don't know if it is the right one, but will add it to my "maybes" list. I don't know Alf's DOB and can't find any listed that look like him. I was told that he was the 3rd child, which would make a 1914 birth, but Oct 1909, fits nicely in between the first 2 children, so I will check that out on the BDM and maybe get the cert.
I know that Ada & Walter were assisted immigrants, but not sure about Alf.
So thanks, again.
God bless you,
Lyn

Any idea of birth-dates for Ada or Walter?
Any middle names?

Hi Sue,
Ada Louise Gibbons' birth was registered at St Olave, Bermondsey, London in Sep Qtr 1908. I have no idea for Walter Fleming, but would assume it to be similar, give or take a few years.
At the moment, that is all I know.
Thanks for your interest.
God bless.

Hi Lynbee,
Are you still around because I connect to your Walter Fleming. Walter (who married Esther Mary Culwick) was born 1878 Mile End, Middlesex and was the only survivng son of Alfred Fleming & Elizabeth nee Hobday. Alfred is my 3G uncle. Lots to swap if you're interested.
:)
