Again, it would be helpful if you would reveal some more of the information which you already hold should you wish to progress this. Such as the 1843 marriage details...

I couldn't find a Wilkinson baptism in Whitstable, no Wilkinsons at all at All Saints.

Richard Wilkinson lived at 5 Vane Terrace, Seaham Harbour (not Dawdon) in 1861 with his wife and four children. There is a photograph of this street on my website www.east-durham.co.uk

Hi Compo
Although the 1841 census for the Whitstable area is missing, I wouldn't be surprised if your Richard was part of this family found there later :-\

High St, Seasalter, Kent
Richard WILKINSON head mar 58 mariner b.Gravesend Kent
Ann wife mar 58 b.Whitstable
Ann dau 24 b.Whitstable
HO107/1625 folio 486 page 7

There are some baptisms for Seasalter on the IGI (batch number I013499) but only females at present ie. Mary Elizabeth (Richard & Emma) 1820 and Annie (Richard & Annie) 1827 http://www.familysearch.org
Nice website there Seaham. I will have a better look later as we have a relative that "migrated" there from Kent too.

The Seasalter or Swalecliffe Parish Registers should be the next port of call.
I do not the KFHS sell the Swalecliffe on CD but not 100% about Seasalter
Good luck

Hi There
may I ask if there are many Tall, Goodwin and Foad burials at Seasalter? It may be worth me purchasing the CD?
Suzannah
