Hi
If anyone is visiting the Records Office or has access to Bolsover PR's I would be very grateful for a look up.
James Houldsworth (Holdsworth/Allsworth/Oldsworth) born around 1730.
Thanks very much

There are bit surviving but not your year, there are some Burials/Marriages if you can use them to get round your problem

There is a family rumour that it was my great great uncle that set fire to the church but when we looked it up in the Derbyshire Times they said it was an electrical fault. Part of me was disappointed! :-\
All the same, a terrible loss! >:(

Have you thought about looking in the Bishop's Transcripts which i think for much of Derbyshire are held at Litchfield?

Hi Stagsman
No I hadn't thought about it. Thanks very much the suggestion. Since receiving your reply I have discovered I can order the Bishop's Transcripts for Bolsover 1668 - 1865 through my local LDS library. I will give it a try.
Thanks very much
