Im in Australia,,My Direct Line of DOODY was From Listowel Co Kerry....May have come from Clare Originally
THOMAS DOODY, wife Unknown
Son JOHN THOMAS DOODY born circa 1860 in Clare or Kerry, My ggrandfather, Had Sister MARY JOSEPHINE Born circa 1864, and elder Brother, Name Unknown
anyone researching this line please?

Hi Cathy,

I had a look for Thomas from Listowel in the 1852 Griffiths Valuation for Co. Kerry.

There was no sign of a Doody in Listowel.

The Valuation is on John Hayes failteromhat.com website

If John Doody was born in Ireland c1860 it is too early for a birth certificate (1864 was start of civil registration but not all early births were registered before it became compulsory in 1870). Have you found a death certificate for him in Australia?- might give have of both parents. With father's and mother's name you might find other siblings born after 1864 in Ireland.

I'm looking for the parents ( or brothers / sisters ) of Demetrii Doody, who is recorded on some records as Dermot Doody, AND his wife Johanna / Johanne Kennelly.

Here it is in simpler format:
All of this happened in Ireland.

Dermot or Demetrii Doody
married
Johanna or Johanne Kennelly.
( year unknown )

They had a daughter named Catherine Doody, who married Hugh Kane.

Catherine Doody was born approx 1824, and died in 1894.

Hugh Kane was born in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin ( Ireland ) in December 1834. He died in July 1886.

Hugh & Catherine Kane (nee Doody) had (Felix) Francis Kane.

Hello, in my last post I posted a Horgan, next door was A Doody, Martin, who was marrieed to Marie and they had a daughter Barbara. A gain they lived in Lissivane West county Kerry, any help!!
