Title: looking for 10th g grandfather

 ROGER PRESTON. Born in 1614 in London, Middlesex, England. Roger died in Lynn, Essex Co., MA, USA on 20 Jan 1666/1667;  any help would be great.

Hi Wooler

There are 11 submitted not extracted entries for what appears to be the same Roger Preston on the LDS site, the IGI. One suggests St Alphage.

The registers appear to have been deposited at the Guildhall Library in London.

I'm sure they charge for doing look-ups, but other than the kindness of a Rootschatter going there to look on your behalf, that may be the only way of finding out what the actual entry contains.

From my own experience of looking at very old registers, it may just be his name and a date. However you may be lucky and get a fathers name.

Thanks Dawn, I will endever to follow up on your observations, however I will persist in my quest. Thanks Ron--Wooler  Do you know anything about Plumptons?
