In response to KiwiBren's reply in this thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,216154.0.html
I would like to know if anyone could look up any birth/marriage/death details please for my TROW rellies. To save duplication, I have added links to some old threads of mine where some information has already very kindly been provided - see the end of this post **
Family 1 - Thomas Trow and Margaret Eliza Owen, married 25/4/1895 Newtown, Montgomeryshire and emigrated 1907:
Children born in New Zealand:
David Gilbert Trow c1906/7
Sydney Trow c1908
Margaret Mary Trow c1910
William Leonard Trow c1912
Henry Trow c1913
Sarah Olive Trow - got full BMD details!!
Unfortunately, I cannot post the names of the last 5 children because there is a slim chance that they could still be alive.
Their first 5 children were born in Montgomeryshire:
Thomas Trow c1897
Adolphus Trow c1898 died in infancy
Adolphus Trow c1900 - have full details!
Gilbert Trow c1902 died in infancy
Joseph Trow c1904
Family 2 - David Davis Trow and Eliza Jane West, married 1/1/1884 Taradale, Hawkes Bay.
Children:
David Davis Trow c1887
Reuben Robert Trow c1889
Dorothy Trow c1890 - I believe she married a Mr Skinner!
Thomas Trow c1892
Morris Pascal Trow c1893
Claude Trow c1894
Charles Trow c1895
Percy Brynhelig Trow c1910
I realise that this is a huge request, but I would be most grateful for any extra information, however small. I am particularly interested in the marriages.
Many many thanks in advance,
Jan

As there weren't that many TROW births I will give you ALL that I found from 1886-1913. You never know, some of the names may make the "penny drop", or give you the connection you are looking for.
Sorry I ran out of time as it is early closing at the Library on Sundays.

Bren......thank once again for more Trow information, that's really helpful because I do recognise many names in that list. I have received your PM's with the others, and I have sent you a reply ;) :D Palmerston North is the right place for David Davis Trow and his family - I was very kindly emailed this some time ago:
"Evening Standard, 2 April, 1928 " On March 31st, 1928 at Palmerston North, David, dearly beloved husband of Eliza Jane Trow, 410 Ruahine St, aged 71"
"The death occurred on Saturday night after a brief illness of Mr. David Trow at the age of 71. Born at Montgomery, Wales, the late Mr Trow emigrated to New Zealand at the age of `18 years, taking up his residence in Napier on arriving in the colony. Following the native unrest shortly after, he joined the volunteers and served in the Armed Constabulary under the late Captain Preece and Major Scully. While the detachment of which he was a member was proceeding to Taranaki, the vessel in which they were sailing was missing for some time, eventually reaching port. In 1888 Mr. Trow came to Palmerston North and was in the employ of the Borough Council for nearly 20 years. Later, he took up a farm at Wakaronga where he remained until 1920 when he retired to a smaller farm in Hokowhitu. He leaves a widow, one brother, Thomas Trow, of Auckland, and seven sons, Reuben, Morris, Claude, Thomas, Charles, Brett (Palmerston North) and David (Napier) and a daughter, Mrs Skinner (Wellington)."
Brett is a spelling mistake!! He was known as Bryn (Percy Brynhelig Trow).
DelBoy....a thank you to you aswell :D I recognise some of those names too.
I am most grateful to you both :D

Hi Jan
Glad to be of help.
You might like to check this out too:
http://www.pncc.govt.nz/Council/
then go to services, Cemeteries & Cremation search.
There aren't many TROWs, so just put in the surname.
I have found this extremely helpful in that it usually gives the name of the plot purchaser, who in David's case is listed as Eliza Jane TROW.
Although, as usual, the information is only as good as the person who gives it as my grandparents are listed as "Luterans", but they were Methodists!
