Title: Looking for husband or parents of Mary Ann Wood, b 1844 in Mathon

I' m currently stuck with tracing back Mary Ann Wood, b 1844 in Mathon, Worcestershire.

She last appears on the 1881 census, living in Claines, Worcestershire as a widow with her 3 children, Emily b1868, Charles b1877 and Agnes b1880, but then I can't find her or her husband in 1871, 1861 or 1851 - strange considering Emily was born in 1868 so should at least be on the 1871.

Can anyone shed some light and point me in the right direction?

could it be she had Emily before marriage and was unmarried Emily could be with parents in 71.Will check around further

Theres an Emily Preece 3 born Malvern(which I think it says is PoB on 81 census) boarder with Timothy and Mary Hill in Leigh Worcester on 71

Think Ive found the above with William on 91 census.
The only thing you can do is buy the birth certificate for Emily if you can find it.If Mary Ann married a Wood you could try agnes birth cert that would give mothers maiden name

Theres also Marion E who is 13 on 91 census thats not a common name should be easy enough to find the correct birth cert
