I Have the following family on 1841 census
James Bradley age 50
Sarah Bradley age 45
Charlotte Bradley age 11
George Bradley age 9
Sarah Bradley age 7
Mercy Bradley age 4
The family are living at Stocks Farm Wittersham and I suspect that the children at least were born there tho another possibility is Stone
I have a note in my records saying that James may have been born Stone but nothing has been proved
I am looking for possible baptisms of James and or the children and even better would be a marriage however I have no idea of Sarahs surname only a rough idea of when she was born and the fact that 1841 says she was NOT of the county
I cannot find the family at all on 1851 census with the exception of the daughter Sarah
Is anyone able to help at all
I know who the daughter sarah married but nothing on any of the other children at all either marriages or deaths

James Bradley 64 yrs pauper agricultural labourer b Stone
does seem to show James as married but no sign of Sarah
-
Thanks Heywood
that sure looks like them doesn't it - so looks like Sarah may have died maybe along we my chances of ever finding out where she was born sigh

did younger Sarah marry George Brann - and if so then you will have James in 1861 - if I have found the right family.
-
yes, there's a death for a Sarah Bradley 1844 3rd quarter, Tenterden
-
Yes Heywood she did
and you have just reminded me where I got the note that James was born in Stone from I shall be making a source note on that immediately
a death great - immediate certificate looks to be needed tho whether it reveals much will be a chance we take

I haven't continued after 1861 censuses as I presume you have access and may want to continue.
It is sad that you can't find anything about Sarah - I wonder if the parish records would show anything up if you were able to get access to them.
-
its ok with the later census thanks - I shall have to alter my tactics
it does seem as tho they stayed in the area so to speak so parish records might be the way to gp
I appreciate the time you have given on my behalf
