Title: marraige look up

 ??? can any one help me find the marraige of robert robson and margaret spottiswood(e) they married on the 24th november 1883 at alston according to my grandfathers birth certificate i cant seem to find anything on them any help would be great thanks tarka :P

The date that you had for the marriage is probably correct.

The reference I posted means that the marriage occurred in the 4th quarter of 1883 - Oct, Nov, Dec - I'm afraid you would need the marriage certificate to find out the fathers' names (or a lookup in the appropriate church register).
