Hi there
can anybody out there tell me where key Street Liverpool was I think it was demolished for the railway I am trying to find out about Philip court Key street .anyone have any info it would be much appreciated thanks jan

Key Street was directly Opposite Moorefields (in 1841), where the main Building of Exchange Station was Built!

thanks for that id be glad of the map to see what else got buried under exchange station 1841 is the date that my friend in oz is looking for so that would be great! do you know was there a peter street on it ? I know there is still one in liverpool city centre but it doesnt look like a residential street thanks so much jan

Peter Street is in the City Centre (off Whitechapel and between Crosshall Street & St Thomas Street).
In 1841 it ran from Whitechapel & Dale Street, but on Todays Map you will see that is now cut short (because they Built the Liverpool Municipal Buildings across the top of it on Dale Street).

I know this has been completed, but key street did not vanish until the new exchange station was built, work starting in 1884.
