On Scotland Peoples website, follow this link.
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/content/help/index.aspx?r=554&632#Minor%20Records
This should open up a page detailing the "Minor Records", open up the "Marine Register" and you will see "Births at Sea", twins from Greenock to be precise. This is where you would do a normal search, but pick Minor Records , once you have input name etc.

If the year given is correct ie 1805 then it is very unlikely that Scotlands people will have the record (civil registration started in 1855) .
I am not sure if parish records would record such a birth either although they may have the baptism/christening details.
It's possible that the National Archives either in London or edinburgh may have some records from the masters Logs depending upon where the vessel was registered
see http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/Leaflets/ri2168.htm for further information

I've just been searching through the OPR images on Scotland's People and there is an entry in the search box for "SHIPPING" - There is a possibility that you might find your 1805 entry there.
