Title: Sheerness parish records

Looking for the birth/baptism record of a John Sursham, abt 1812.  His parents were John Sursham and Mary Bunton.  John Sursham, his father, was a shoemaker, and he and Mary came from Norwich, Norfolk. 

The only films available to be ordered at my local Family History Center start in 1836.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Sus

Sheerness would come under parish of Minster, Ilse of Sheppey, Kent; have checked Minster parish baptism records (1569-1916) and nothing for/similar to Sursham.

Can't see Sursham's on 1841 census, but John and Mary are on 1851 census in Norfolk - but no John.

Since posting my message I have learned that John Sursham (the father) was in the East Norfolk Militia and had a daughter, in Plymouth, Devonshire, in 1814.  I wonder now if the Militia had also been in Sheerness.
