Does anyone know if the building at 19 Glasford Street, Tooting Graveney is the one that existed in 1902?
My ancestors Lilian Sykes and her daughter Margaret lived there.
If so, I would like to obtain a photograph.

It's a couple of miles from me.
I've had a look at the map, and it looks as if it will be one of the many streets of terraced houses in the area: few of them have changed much, unless the houses were demolished by a bomb in the war.
I'll try to get along and have a look in a week or two (can't go after work - too dark at the moment for a photo!)

Meles,
Thanks very much - there's no great hurry, but I am looking forward to seeing the house if it's still there.

The house is a maisonette - purpose built flats on two floors and 19 is on the first (top) floor.
The flat down the road is on sale for £275,000...!

meles,
You are a saint!
Thanks for the photos, they will go into the family history album.
Surely there's a mistake in your message - £275,000...?? I couldn't afford to live in England now (we came to Australia 25 years ago).
Thanks again

Follow this link and you can probably get to see in side the flat for sale.
