Title: Smith Family, Closeburn, Dumfriesshire. 1871

Hi Trying to find a Smith family in 1871.
Alexander Smith married Isabella Hunter 21 May 1867 Closeburn.
Their son James  was b 15 Aug 1868, Closeburn, Dumfries, Scotland.
James married Mary Love nee Dempster in Beith 21 Dec 1917 ( Second marriage for both ????)
James died in 1945.
I am hoping to find this family in 1871
Any help much appreciated

I am researching an Isabella HUNTER, born 26Sep1828 in Langholm, I believe.  She is the daughter of John HUNTER and Margaret BUDGE.  Is this your Isabella?

A sister of Isabella, Agnes Gaskill HUNTER, is my g-g-g-grandmother.

Welcome to Rootschat.
Different family i think.
'My' Isabella was b 1833 Closeburn. Parents John Hunter and Mary Mathieson.
