Hi there,
I'm on my partner's account at the moment. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody might be able to give me some help. I'm tracing my maternal grandmother's family and I've hit a bit of a dead-end.
The family tree that I have so far is as follows:
Mary (O'?)Donovan married John (O'?)Donovan who was a Police Commissioner in Mallow Co Cork.
They had several children, including my g grandmother Mary (known as Molly b. 1895). These were:
-Annie / Hennie b. 1890 approx
-Michael b.1895/1896
-Paddy (Patrick?) b. between 1901-1908 (Christened in Blackpool Cathedral, Co.Cork)
-Timmy
-Katie
-Nora
My g grandmother married Christopher Lowe (b.1895). Christopher fought in WW1 and served in France, Egypt, Jerusalem and Jordan. He came back alive.
I don't know about Christopher's parents, but I know that he had siblings:
-Denny (Denis?) b. between 1901-1905
-James b.1897 approx
-John who worked in the sugar factory in Mallow
-Paddy (Patrick?) who lived in Limerick and moved to England, worked in the firebrigade
-Tommy who was conscripted in WW2, fought in Jersey, married an English woman and never returned to Ireland.
My great grandparents Molly and Christopher had 3 children (all in Mallow):
-John Lowe b.1920
-Christopher (Christie) Lowe b. 1921
-Mary Lowe b.1927 (my grandmother)
I know most of the family tree from there onwards but need some help finding my ancestors and cousins. If anyone could provide me with any information I'd greatly appreciate it.

You should be able to get Christopher's father's name from his marriage certificate.
You can search the marriage indexes for them. Check the reference matches for each name and that’s the right page. These are available at the Dublin GRO or on film at your local family history centre. (Church of the latter day saints) http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHC/frameset_fhc.asp for your nearest.
Same for the births.
