Title: STRANEY/STRANY ...Carlisle and Whitehaven

Hubbys line has a Bernard STRANEY born in Carlisle in 1798 to John STRANEY and wife Frances LANAUGHAN...then Bernard  married in Whitehaven to Ann CARR (a widow) and returned and lived in Carlisle until the 1870s when he moved to Annan (where one of his daughters was living) and died there. 
John & Frances stayed/died in Carlisle....but I would be interested to know if anyone else is looking for STRANEY..does our John and son Bernard link up to any other STRANEY in Whitehaven....haven't found a link as yet.

Yes I am linked to Straneys in Whitehaven, I have seenyour Bernard but can't see any link but I didn't realise he was married in Whitehaven. I am descended from an Elizabeth Straney born Arrowthwaite 1818, daughter of Hugh and Esther Straney both born in Ireland.
