Possible location Ballymena - trying to get a lead on my grandmother's date of birth.
My mother who is living can't remember and I am trying to get a start on my Irish connections.
Possible she may have had sisters Isobel, Molly, Ethel and another who went to live at Larne.
Help please ??? ???Maeabbie

Hi Meabbie,
I have a Hessie Kennedy in my tree too ( :) ) - but too contempory for you ( :( )
Can't really help you here, but I am interested in the name Hessie,
especially as "my" Hessies have connections to Antrim.
We have a tradition in my wife's family that the oldest daughter is always called Hessie.
Full story here: http://www.margulies-chronicles.com/i-legends.php#hessie
Do you have anything similar, or have you heard of any stories or rumours of this in any other branches of the family ??
Good luck,
Bob

Must be a fairly common name.
Hester Kennedy born 6 Jan.1861 Culnaman, near Garvagh, County Londonderry.

I've found a little more information about my Grandmother. She was definitely Hessie Kennedy on my mother's birth certificate.
Can anyone please see if they can actually find her - would appreciate any other information.
She had a sister Jessie and a brother who emigrated to USA
Thanks for any help you can come up with.
Regards
Maeabbie

Trying to contact Maeabbie.
Hessie Kennedy's sister Matilda 'Tillie' Kennedy was my Grandmother so we are second cousins. Hope to hear from you as I have a lot of information on the Kennedy/Houston family.

Tillie Kennedy married Charles Crawford and they lived in Larne.
