Who do I contact to find out information on a William Wright and Ann Gaunt family, from Longstone, Derbyshire? They both lived in the early 1600's. He died in 1641. Ring any bells for anyone?

Good afternoon Shauna and Gaye,
Are either of you or both still in touch with RootsChat since 2004 and 2011 respectively?
I am a descendent of Thomas Wright who was at Unthank Hall and the younger brother of William Wright who married Anne Gaunt. Both William and Thomas had two marriages looking at the family tree in my possession.
I along with a first cousin, once removed interested in the Wright family history. Any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
Regards

Hi Gaye,
Very many thanks for responding. I did write after receiving your response but looks as if it has failed on Rootschat. The attachments might have been too big first time round.
We very much appear to be distant cousins with our common ancestor being William Wright born in 1603 or 1608 married to Elizabeth Milnes.
Intrigued with the Bassano connection as your forebears after having looked it up on the internet. Musicians to Henry VIII and Emilia allegedly dallying with the playwright, William Shakespeare.
I attach an image from the handwritten family pedigree that I have.
My great grandfather, George Thomas Wright, wrote Longstone Records in 1906 and here is the link -
https://ia804707.us.archive.org/34/items/longstonerecords00wrig/longstonerecords00wrig.pdf
There is the Wright family pedigree starting on page 325 of Longstone Records. Robert le Wright in 1330!
I have answered another old post of yours about Joseph Wright of Derby with his family tree included in a book on him written by William Bemrose.
My first cousin once removed, Jon, has married a Russian girl. Note reference to a Motteram marrying a Russian merchant! He has been doing DNA research and it rather looks that we came over with the Vikings rather than the Normans as first thought in the family.
Did you ever hear from Shauna?
Thanks
Hugh

Oooooh ooooh thank you so much!!!
You've given me data that will flesh out my Tree on Geni.com and also same in
Ancestry.co.uk
So indeed we are related and you are correct with history of the Bassano (My GGrandmother
Harriet Drake nee Bassano) is direct descendant of the original family.
All fascinating stuff.
My email is gayestrand@gmail.com - happy to have you contact me anytime.

Hi, this is my first time using the site so I am unsure how it works.
I am from Derbyshire and discovered a long time ago that my great-great-grandmother, Mary Wright, was from the county and I hope to discover more. She was born in Igngleby in 1836, and would later marry Edward Yates, born in 1834 in Pattingham, Staffordshire.
All I have discovered about Mary is that her Father was called George and was most likely born in 1810 in the nearby town of Melbourne. According to an article written by my great aunt, his profession was a gardener. At some point, I think I decided that his wife was called Anne, but I can not remember where from. Anyway that is all I have to go on and I would love to learn more about his family.
Cheers,
Ben
