Hello again,
I am looking for Louisa REYNOLDS who was born in Bow, 1850. She will be 11 in 1861, and maybe in a french school. I would like to see the names of some of her school mates if possible.
Also - Sampson REYNOLDS b 1850 Bethnal Green - he shows up in 1881 with a wrong age, but I am hoping he is about in 1871 with at least some of his family - Parents George b 1809, Mary 1825, James b 1847 and Robert b 1849 and Martha b 1857- perhaps in Shoreditch
Any help would be fantastic
Thanks kindly

Hi Valda,
OK _ I see where I went wrong - I clicked on the wrong board- never mind, I'd like to say thanks a million for finding these records for me - I have been able to find that young Martha died in 1884, and that has given me some more clues, so it was really a valuable exercise finding them!
Many thanks again

Thank you Valda! At this rate, I might just be able to find some living descendents which will be amazing beyond words- I'll let you all know if it happens as this has been a hard slog getting to 1901 - and now I have found a couple of marriages past 1901....
Kindest regards

She was living with two Teesdales women, both who gave their status as widows.

Thanks for the clue Valda - Matilda's age is suspiciously similar to what my Matilda REYNOLDS should be by 1901. I can't seem to find Matilda TEESDALE b 1838 London in 1881 though.
It seems no one has been able to find my Matilda's half brother, Robert b 1849, ( to Mary K REYNOLDS) in 1901 - there is a Robert REYNOLDS listed in the 1901 census index as aged 52, master mariner, and living in West Ham...if I am on the right track, maybe Matilda married a mariner as well.
I guess i will have to wait to see what else tunrs up
many thanks again

Thanks Jennifer,..I think the reason Robert doesn't show up in 1871 and 1881 and maybe 1891, is because he is the mariner come home from the sea in 1901 ( I hope I have found him anyway!)
The record is:1901 census
Robert Reynolds aged 52 born London N K West Ham civil parish: West Ham occ: Master Mariner
I would love it if someone could see who else he was living with in 1901.
Cheers

Robert in West Ham is with his wife, two daughters and his mother-in-law. From his wife's name and her mother's surname this is his marriage reference.
Marriages Sep 1875
FINDLEY Mary Jane Shoreditch 1c 417
REYNOLDS Robert Thompson Shoreditch 1c 417

Thanks Valda!
And thank goodness for mothers-in-law!
I would love the actual 1901 record of everyone living at the address in West Ham, as I have just tried to find Mary Jane in 1881 but there are too many possibilities .
Many thanks again

oooh Valda - am I glad I followed my hunch! THANK YOU SO MUCH- I now have Robert sorted out.
This really is amazing . I am thrilled to bits..sadly Gordon died ( young)as did Norman - both boys with the Kilvington middle name, but they provided the vital clue.
Now I just have to find James.....:-))
Kindest regards

Jocelyn, I'm sure you have already found the following marriage.
1846 Sept. Qtr Romford Vol. 12 Pg. 335
Mary Kebell Kilvington to George Reynolds
I recently found the following marriage *
2 June 1823 in Christ Church Southwark by licence
Mary Kebell KNOTT to Henry KILVINGTON
one of the witnesses is a Susannah Knott
(Mary is actually indexed as Mary Kebett Knott)
