Hi Tracey,
The IGI has a Robert Bogg and Ann Donn marrying on the 28 JUN 1833 in Auchterarder, Perth, Scotland. They also seem to have had some children but none born after 1840 which fits your timeline, so I think that will be them. When did they arrive in Australia - If it was late in the year you could try to find them on the census in 1841 (it was taken on the 6th of June).

Hi Tracey
From IGI, siblings showing to your Robert including his entry:
1. JOHN BOAG Birth: 25 MAR 1819/ Christening: 27 MAR 1819 Forteviot, Perth, Scotland
2. ROBERT BOAG Birth: 19 JUN 1814/ Christening: 26 JUN 1814 Forteviot, Perth, Scotland
3. CATHARINE BOIG Christening: 20 APR 1806 Forteviot, Perth, Scotland
4. MARGRET BOAG Christening: 22 JUL 1810 Forteviot, Perth, Scotland
There are 3 marriages showing for a James and Isabella. This one looks more likely given the birth years of the children above:
JAMES BOGG Marriages: Spouse: ISABEL MUNROW
Marriage: 11 DEC 1805 Forgandenny, Perth, Scotland

Have a look at this post here on RootChat, a comprehensive guide which explains what resources are available when researching in Scotland, in particular post 2 covers OPRs, the Old Parish Registers, one of the main sources of information pre 1855 (and the start of official registration in Scotland):

I just joined today, and I'm so happy to find this post. I have all these names in my tree!
James Boag is my Gx5 Grandfather!!
My Patilla is listed as Patulio (have tried most variations)
I have 10 children of Robert Boag and Ann Don
I've managed to get 2 generations back from James, then a brick wall.
Please PM me if you want access to the whole kit and caboodle!
