looking for matthew bradshaw or breashaw his military records say born 1795 bedfrltium baldock hertfordshire he was killed in action mouleim india 1832 body left on battlefield trying to find his life before 1795 and parents ,he had a wife anna he took with him to madras she also was killed along with three children two boys orphaned james and matthew sent to australia
anything that could help me get through this brick wall

The IGI records the baptism of Matthew Breashaw s/o Joseph and Margaret Breashaw at Baldock on 18 Nov 1795.

thankyou peter i had a rough idea of the year from his military records i am so thrilled you found him now i can order his certificate
my husband is a bradshaw this is his gggggrandfather we could never find information on him because he was never burried his body left on the battlefield so i will now try to find breashaws

I'm afraid that the best that you will be able to do at this date would be to obtain a copy of the baptismal record from HALS.  I doubt that it would give anymore information than what is on the IGI unfortunately.
