Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me find information on my Great Great Grandmother, her name was Gertrude Mary Pexton.
I'm not sure where abouts in England she came from but I think it might be Modbury as that is where my Great Great Grandfather was raised.
Her parents were Mary (nee Taylor) and John Henry Pexton.
I think she went over to Canada to marry her husband Arthur Esme Cartret Green where she had 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. I do know that they then went back to England for a while around 1913? to visit Arthur's father before he died (Rev George Clark Green of Modbury) before coming out to Australia and settling in Shepparton / Orrvale area of Victoria Australia. where she is now buried
If any one can help me with this side of my family tree, I would be very grateful.
Thanks

I am researching her brother John Harker Paxton and have some information I would be willing to share. I would be interested in more info about Gertrude.
-
Hi, I would love any information that you could give me. As far as i know John Pexton's family live in America in Idaho. Do we have the same family?. I know a little bit about John but not much. I do know he married a ladiy called mildred and had 3 children a daughter and two sons
-
That is correct! I am putting this information together for John's Grandson who still resides in Idaho. I had found some info on Gertrude, but only found info on one daughter she had. I have not been able to go back further than John Pexton B. 1781 in Yorkshire. Have you? I can be reached at
