Title: Need help with RA Sergeant

James Sanders/Saunders was in the RA for 12 years according to his obituary but the regiment or battery is not listed. 
I have him in Woolwich in 1856 and 1861.
One child born at sea coming from Malta in 1857
one born in Shoreditch in 1858,
and another son born in Woolwich in 1862.
By 1863 he was out of the service and on his way to the United States. 
That is all that I have.  If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.  I need to have a regiment or battery before I can get any records.

Hi Anna

his service records may be at the National Archives at Kew in series WO97. Unfortunately they are only available on line up to 1854 so for 1862 you would have to pay a visit or get a researcher to look for you.
