Title: Warminster in the 1880's
Post by: MarcusStone on Wednesday 10 January 07 12:05 GMT (UK)
My gg gf Joseph Price was a tailor in Warminster in the 1880's and the 1881 census has him based at 81 Silver Street.  I'm interested to hear from anyone who could tell me more general information about life at that time, any books or photos, and indeed if Silver Street still exists in any shape or form.

Thanks

Hi
As a starting point you may like to try
http://www.warminster.co.uk an online guide to the town.
Cheers Dave

Hello Marcus , Silver Street is still going strong here in Warminster & the Price family crop up a fair bit throughout various lists & books .
