Hi,
Can anyone help me find Charles Lilley born about 1832/33 in either Birchholt, Brook or Brabourne ( depending on which of the later censuses you look at) on the 1851 census. He married in 1852 so am hoping he was still at home in 1851 as i would like to find out who his parents and siblings were. He married Mary Ann Woolley in 1852 also born 1832/33 and any details of her parents would be great too. She was born In Maidstone i think.
many thanks
Julie

The only one listed in 1841, you may know better than me whether the area might be correct, and also if you have his father's name that might confirm.
All born in County
Nackholt, Wye, Kent
Mark Lillee 40 Ag Lab
Elizabeth 40
Sarah 12
James 10
Charles 8

Wye is in the wrong Hundred, I'd also expected it to be PIECE 477 - but it is same Regn District of East Ashford - looks good I'd say.
As Mary says, if you have the marriage Cert, is his father Mark ?
HO107/476/13 - Wye

Many thanks to all of you for looking Charles up for me. I don't know his parents names but have ordered a marriage cert which i am hoping will show his father. I shall keep the details of the family that Mary has found on the 1841 as it is a big possibility that this is the right family as Wye is a few miles away from Bircholt and Brook.
Thank you so much again for your help.

Have received the marriage cert for Charles Lilley and Mary Ann Woolley and can confirm that his father was Mark, a labourer and her father was John Woolley a glover born in either Donnington or Bonnington, it is hard to read the writing. If anyone can help me find John Woolley on the 1851 census that would be wonderful.
many thanks
