Hi there Willow,

Thanks for the lookups.

Did you have any luck finding Henry Doughton Pulford, or Sophia or Frederick Knighton Pulford in 1841 by any chance??

Thanks again
Lilygirl.

No luck so far with Henry or Frederick.
Could Sophia also be known as Jessy,
or is she another daughter?   :-\

Hi

Yeah well I was thinking that.

Not sure did notice on familysearch that the children are listed all with extracted birth/chr info same parish etc.

Then doing parent search there was also a Jessy said extracted also but there was no info listing the dates film etc so I wasn't sure if it was actually a true extraction if you know what I mean??! as it was different to the rest.

Do you have any idea what I'm talking about here sorry didn't make it very clear

Lilygirl.

Yep, got the gist of that.    :P

I would say Jessy is a 'pet name' for Sophia.   :D

I thought that could be the case but there's different dates listed on igi for birth/chr.

I found
Jessy Ann Pulford chr 22 Aug 1827 St James to Robert and Sophia

but the other children were quite regular
do you think might be different family???

Henry 1819ish
Robert 13 Oct 1820
Robert 26 Dec 1821
Alfred 29 Mar 1823
Sophia 25 Jul 1826
Frederick 31 Dec 1828
Emily 4Feb 1830

What do you think?????

Hi

There are 2 Jessy Pulfords ...
- Jessy Ann, daughter of Robert Pulford & Sophia Doughton, bapt. 22.8.1827 at St James Westminster
- Jessy Alice, daughter of Henry Doughton Pulford & Elizabeth Burbidge Smith, b.1845 at Surbiton
(i.e. the older Jessy is the aunt of the younger Jessy)

Jessy Ann married William Walter, a solicitor, at St James Westminster in 1849. One of their daughters was Jessy Walter (b.1850 at Kingston) who married James Wheeler of Chertsey, a clergyman, at Kingston in 1879. They in turn had a daughter called Jessy Walter Wheeler, b.1880 at Snenton, Nottinghamshire. The family was evidently very taken by the name Jessy :-)

I don't know much about Jessy Alice except that she married Charles Sanger at Guildford in 1871.

James Wheeler is my 3rd cousin twice removed (according to the FTM relationship calculator) which is why I collected this information. Hope it's of interest.

All best wishes
John
