Hi,

There's a death for a Charlotte Collier aged 90
1963 June Quarter Frome 7c 153

Is she the Charlotte who married George Collier in Frome
Dec Quarter 1896 5c 854a - if so her surname in the index was Beachem

There's a birth for a Charlotte Beachem in Frome Sep Qu 1868 5c 546 (census birth dates aren't always accurate)

or Charlotte Beacham in Frome Dec Qu 1872 5c 524
You didn't say which date was the wrong birth you'd found, was it this one?

Hi Barbara,

My Charlotte is Beacham and was born in November 1872.  I had previously ordered a birth certificate but the date on it is 1st November but my gran (her daugher) is adamant that her birthday was on the 5th November.  I know that sometimes information was entered incorrectly or people celebtrated their birthday on different days, so I was hoping that if I found the death certificate this might shed more light on this!!

I order the death certificate and see what I can find out.  Many thanks for your help.

Think the death cert will only show her age as 90, birth dates were only given in later ones.  I suspect that the date on the birth cert you got was correct and your gran mistaken...

My grandmother always celebrated her birthday Feb 28th,
but on her birth cert,it stated her birthday was Feb.16th.
So some confusion can happen along the way. ;D

My uncle always celebrated his birthday 2 days early, but I don't think he'd ever seen his birth cert - you'd think his mother would have known
