Hi Katie
Is 1821 a typo? I don't think there will be census data from then :)
-
No not a typo there is data from then

There is a surviving Census for Wellington in 1821 but it does not cover Dawley.
Lawley (Common and Bank) Ketley, Hadley and a few other places are included though. It shows name, correct age, occupation and if born in county.
I only have a transcript, no access to the original or a copy.
Katie, I can't see your family on there.

Thanks for looking!

Hi Katie
I have just joined RootsChat and found your message re. the Owen family. I have been doing my family tree for some years now with long breaks in between but have just felt the urge to pick it up again.
One of the people you mention is Tryphena Owen b. 1815. I have her on my family tree as marrying James Ball (my great-great grandfather). They had several children including my great grandfather, George Ball who was born in 1848. They lived in Dawley I believe.
Does this fit in with your findings.
Diana Robbins (nee Ball)

If this information will help you, this is what I have on my tree:
Alfred Owen, married to Sarah Jane Humpherson(1872). Their child, Eileen Amy Owen (1911).
Sarah Jane Humpherson is the daughter of Daniel Humpherson (1833) and Susan Timms.
Daniel Humpherson and my great grandfather Thomas (1829) are brothers.
Just thought I would pass this on.
Kindest regards,
Doris B.
