Title: Kirkgate -- Beeston
Post by: Susan41 on Thursday 21 December 06 23:42 GMT (UK)
As I am not familiar with locations in Yorkshire I need to ask if it is likely that an Edward KAY born 1764 Kirkgate and an Edward KAY raising his children and living at Beeston after 1785 could be the same person?  Are Kirkgate and Beeston anywhere near each other?

The Edward KAY I am researching was married at St. Peter's, Leeds and was still living at Beeston at the time of the 1841 census.

Thank you.

Susan

Kirkgate is in the centre of Leeds and Beeston is about 2 miles out. St peter's is the other name for Leeds Parish Church. Several from the Beeston and Hunslet areas were married there
