Hi Jane,

I'm sorry I don't.

All I know is he appears on the marriage cert as the father  of my grt grandfather John Bond b.1857 Somerset who married an Elizabeth Dunn 1859 Eastbourne. John was also a policeman.

Ok  so did John become a member of the Met police force??  do you have him on the 81 at Plumstead?  If this is him it states that John was born Wellington in Somerset, this may help to find his parents?

Hi, Yep, I have all of that.

Tati was trying to help me last night and as I told her, I though Johns parents were William Bond and Sarah Davey of Burlescombe Devon, but then Edward turned u
on this cert.  :-\

Hi me again ;D

Have you just received the marriage cert for John ?  Who are the witnesses to the marriage, maybe a clue ie a brother or sister for John, so we can find them on earlier census, do you have John on the 61 as a small child with parents??

I found a relative I never knew about through Genes. She is the grandaughter of Ida may 1 of Johns daughters, his daughter Winifred is my nan. |It turned out that Ida and my nan married 2 brothers. Its my relative who has the marriage cert, she scanned it to me.

The wittnesses were James R Dunn Elizabeths father
and a Rosa Wasser/Wassen.

No I haven't found John on the 61 census at home.

Thanks

Jane,
I'm beginning to think it too. Something tells me that My John Bond just doesn't want to be found. Unless he was the son of William and Sarah but was shunned for some reason.

Thankyou for all your help, much appreciated
