Title: Looking for death of Thomas Salkeld between 1772 and 1775
Post by: gerryfitz on Thursday 14 December 06 21:06 GMT (UK)
I am trying to find the death/burial of Thomas Salkeld between 1772 and 1775.

The last known child was born to him and his wife Ann (nee Storey) in 1773 at Addingham Parish.

I believe Ann then went on to re-marry in 1775 at Addingham, so I am thinking that Thomas must have died between those dates.

I have tried searching the Addingham Parish Record at Carlisle Records Office but couldn't find him.

He was married to Ann in Melmerby in 1768.

Can anyone help please?

My husband has Salkelds in his family (not Addingham as far as I know).  I saw your post sometime ago but had nothing to contribute.

But I was just browsing death duty registers and saw an entry:

Carlisle Admons 1806
129 Salked Thomas Gamblesby psh Addingham

I know it's not the date you were after and you may have seen this already but just thought I'd post the information in case it helps you.
regards
Deborah
