Hi
could sks please look up the following family in North Walsham
Simon Salkind age 39 born London
Hannah Salkind age 25 born Poland
Harriet Salkind age 3 born North Walsham
Solomon Salkind age 2 born North Walsham
Esther Salkind age 1 born North Walsham
Simon i believe may be either a Furniture broker & general dealer or a watchmaker.
If at all possible (i.e. the index is easily searchable) could i please get a look up on the surname Schroder/Schader in Great Yarmouth, also (this maybe harder) the surname Carr in Lynn.
Thank you very very much
Tara ;)

Hi,
Sadly, the 1841 is not indexed so it would take ages to search these places as they are all towns. Have you found the family in directories as that would narrow down the search. There is one for 1836 but I don't have it on my shelf!
If you are in Norfolk you will find a copy in your local library.
I do research as a paid hobby if you want me to follow anything up.

Hi Teddybear
in 1839 Simon Salkind was living in Market place in North Walsham if that helps narrow down the search ::). He was a watch and clock maker

Hi
I've just had a look around the Market Place but my CD copy is not very good in places and there doesn't seem to be enough property in the town. The only way to be sure is to look at the film copy which is in Norwich or you could order it from your local LDS Library.

As for your other request that is a tall order but if you can be patient I am often going through those areas and will send any I find. Is there some one in particular you are looking for??
Hopefully I will get a chance to look through part of kings lynn tonight if I find any Carrs I will pass them on. ok

Thank you Anjo
you are a star ;D
In Great Yarmouth I doubt there will be many with the surname Schroder/Schader or some variation, but a John and Sarah Schroder/Schader whom married there in 1810 and i'm assuming were still there in 1836 when there daughter married there.
In Lynn no definite names in particular.
thanks a million

I am also looking for traces of a Schader family - immigrated to Australia (on the Johann Caesar in 1855). Once in Australia Ernst and his wife Sophie had 7 children... one of whom was my husband's g-grandmother - Annie Louisa Schader. (1863-1934)
Have you come across any Australian connections in your research?

Hi,
I have John (possibly Jonathan) Schader married Catherine Sarah Franklin in 1810 in Great Yarmouth, daughter Catherine Franklin Schader born 1812. I have nothing else on the Schader's at all.
