Looking for any details on a Charlotte Balsille (nee Purves born Stenton E.Lothian & married there in 1829).
In 1841 possibly living Allanton/Edrom, age about 35, widow, children Agnes & Francis plus others.
Husband Francis, mason at Allanton, died 1839 possibly buried Edrom
1851 son Francis living with uncle Balfour Balsille at Ayton, others? Francis 1881 married and living in Edinborough.
Anything gratefully received, helping a lady in Australia.

Ok, here goes:
Sophia b 5 Nov bapt 23 Nov 1834 Eyemouth, Berwick
William b 21 Aug bapt 10 Sep 1837 Haddington
Margaret Turner b 21 Sep bapt 3 Nov 1839 Haddington
Christina b 10 Aug bapt 28 Aug 1841 Edrom
Balfour b 24 Sep 1844 Ayton
Francis James b 10 Jan bapt 11 Feb 1847 Ayton
Andrew Crease b 27 Jann 1849 Ayton
Eliza b 25 Dec 1852 Ayton (unmarried in 1881)
Another daughter Mary born about 1855 or so listed on 1881 census.
There is another Balsillie family in Haddington with a son by the name of Balfour - a connection possibly, worth investigating. Parents were William Balsillie and Isabella Daig or Darg. Children:
William b 2 Mar bapr 29 Mar 1829 Haddington
John b 14 Apr bapt 9 May 1830 Haddington
Robert b 1 Aug bapt 31 Aug 1834 Haddington
Balfour b 27 Oct bapt 8 Nov 1835 Haddington
No sign of this family in 1881 in the area.William was a builder by the looks of it and died about 1836 - a will was proved then.
Balfour Balsillie senior a farmer at Dykeheadgate d 16 Dec 1880, left an inventory registered at Duns 17 Oct 1881. Dykegatehead is where Balfour's son and widow are in 1881.
David, Francis's brother appears to be the Governor of Donaldson Hospital in Edinburgh in 1881.

Hi Joe,
The ages certainly fit all of them and they were in Aus by 1866, but who Agnes Aitchison was I don't know.
Perhaps when I send them on the lady in Aus. she should have some idea as to who they all were.
