Transcribed from LDS microfilm to the best of my ability to read and comprehend old writing, sloppy penmanship, smears, strikethroughs and general old age of the original document.
The far right colum lists an image file # I have applied so that I may find the entry in my files. Those desiring a copy of the entry only need to pm me with the image # and an email address to which they wish the copy to be sent. You will get the whole page- not just your desired entry.
I posted years 1841 thru 1845 on the Rootsweb>Stirlingshire lists July 2006 for those who may have missed them.

Hi Anne
I found the lists through the link that you put on your post. Thank you very much. The only possible relative of mine was the Dunn. It is likely that the ones that I am looking for died earlier.
Thanks again
Maple
P.S. This is quite a job that you are doing. 8)

Thanks Maple,
If you want a copy just let me know. I still have a few more years to transcribe. It is payback for those who have helped me along the way- sort of a pass it forward if you know what I mean. The obituaries seem to be the hardest ones to find out there and I was lucky to find these on the OPR where all the births of my GG Aunts, Uncles and etc. were located. I'm not as disciplined as some out there so it is slow going, I don't want to make any mistakes. There are many people both on and off RootsChat who have done similar lists. Post your information and with luck someone will be able to help.
As an aside, the one entry that I searched diligently for for years ended up being just a name and sex on the register, nothing more. I was certain it was him as he was in the census that year, gone by the next one and the entry appeared to have been an afterthought at the end of the year. You never know!
Good luck in your search!

Granma Anne - looking at your 1846 transcripts there are one or two Fergusons included. While transcribing 1841-1845 obituries you didn't happen to come across any others. Other names of interest in Fintry would be Dunn or Norrie/Norie

Hi! tucker40 & welcome to rootschat.
I have copies of the LDS films for Fintry - roughly 1820 - 1855.
In order to find anyone in these films I need a date range- as well as name, of course. Only about a third have been indexed and transcribed. I do recall the names "Norrie" and "Dobbie" do filter through the films for a long period of time.
Give me more and be patient - I'll let you know what I can find.
-
Thanks to both of you for great information.
David Norrie married Mary Downie around 1848 with a son, Alexander, born around the same time, it would be great if you could find more information in the LDS files on these events
-
The parish Register index shows:
31 May 1848 Alexander Norrey to David Norrey and Mary Downie
this entry is followed by two siblings - Mary and Ann in 1850 & 1852 respectively.
My copy is of the original film and the text on this one is quite clear.
Under Marriages I have:
14th Oct 1848 David Norris & Mary Downie (etc.) married 27th
I have these two films pegged it you want copies and I can look for the actual birth entries for copies of those if you are interested.
However, I will need your email address to send them to you - send me a private message.
Don't let the name changes put you off, this is the same couple and there are more Norrie/Norris/Norrey entries of the family(ies).
Waiting to hear from you.

Images sent to private email account- hope they are what you are looking for.
Let me know if you need others, or help deciphering the poor inkblobs on some of it.
