Title: RIDDALL Marriage
Post by: pcoups on Wednesday 06 December 06 03:07 GMT (UK)
Hi all,
I'm begging on very bent knees please
Has anyone access to marriage microfilms or fische for Birtley or Chollerton, Northumberland .
I have a Margaret RIDDALL christened 31 Mar 1745 Birtley, Northumberland to father James RIDDALL and mother Isabel SCOTT.
I think she  married Peter WOOD from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire but find no marriage there (Nottinghamshire.)
Help, please, oh! Please!
Thank you
Lynn

Pcoups,
Could RIDDALL possibly be RIDDELL?  RIDDELL I think was the name of the local landowner.   I have a family called WATSON at Colwell nr Chollerton in the first  half of the 19th century. Their youngest son was named Riddell after him.

Just a possibility.

Regards
