Ancestry.com have Scotland BMD on their database now. If you click on more under Birth, Marriage and Death you will be taken to a page where it will show a folder (scroll box) that says "Search Individual Deaths and Marriage And Death Collections. All Scotland Counties are on the scroll down list.
Can anyone do a look-up for me on this database for the following births?
Gamrie, Banffshire
Irvine Wilson b:1897
Gordon Wilson b:1894
James Wilson b: 1894
Thanks! :)

Hi Jeboak
I couldn't find Scottish BMD on Ancestry. I did find some Parish and Probate records, but only up to about 1800 for Banffshire.
Ancestry do now have 1841-1861 Scotland census, but no BMD as far as I could see.
Sorry

Thanks Julian. I guess the 1890's is still not on their database then.
Can you help me with an 1861 census look-up for John and Ann Sinclair?
Just in case you would, :) census county is Fife, district is Dunfermline.
I would just like to know if they have daugthers named Jane and Jean.
Thanks Again!

Any chance of approximate years of birth for John and Ann plus place of birth?

John Sinclair was born about 1839 and Ann was born about 1837
I have not found out where they were born but I know they got married in Dunfermline on 1855.
I really appreciate this.
Thank you so much! ;D

btw Jean Sinclair was born on 1856 and Jane was born in 1857. I am sure that Jane grew up and married in Dunfermline on 1876. Just in case John or Ann might have died before 1861 census.

Not sure if this is much help to you.
I've found an Ann Sinclair age 24 with a son David Sinclair age 3, living as stepdaughter to George and Janel Birrell, Baldridge Burn, Dunfermline. George was a Linen Damask Weaver. There was another stepdaughter - Eliza Peterson Aged 17.
This Ann was shown as being born in Edinburgh. I surmise her maiden name was Peterson (but that's only a guess). Her son David was shown as born in dunfermline.
The only John sinclair B 1839 I could find in Fife was married to a lady called Christian , and they lived in Proterhill, Dunfermline Landward.
There is a John Sinclair Age 20 working as a plowman (servant) at Broadleees House, Kinghorn - this was a 100 acre farm run by James Stooks and employing 3 men and 1 boy. This John Sinclair was born in Kinghorn - so I don't think this is yer man.
Obviously I've focused on those living in Dunfermline or nearby.
Sorry if this isn't much help

Sorry no Jane Sinclair B 1857 Dunfermilne or indeed anywhere in Fife can be found on 1861 census. Might they have not been born in Dunfermline.

Julian thank you so much for the help. It is very deeply appreciated. I hope I can help you somehow someday. I checked ScotandsPeople and there was a Jane Sinclair aged between 3-4 on the Dunfermline census. I just wanted to cross check things out before I purchase credits there.
Thanks so much for spending time on the look-ups.
God Bless You!!! :)

The index entries for anyone born or married in Scotland 1855 - 1875 can be checked on the IGI - otherwise as far as I know ScotlandsPeople are the only folks with civil records - if anyone knows any different I would very much like to know.

Ancestry Lists all Scotland counties ion their database for individual birth, marriage and death collection. They don't have much, like julian informed me but it's a good come-on if you were researching on Scotland.
