I am looking for information on the family of Bridget Curran (Sister of John Philpot Curran) and Garet Graham circa 1780. Area of Newmarket Cork. Or any related Grahams..............looking for a birth of Joanna/Johanna Graham circa 1800.
Also would anyone know the names of all the siblings of John Philpot Curran born 24th July 1750, the Irish Orator/Lawyer. His parents were James Curran and Sarah Philpot.
Hopefully someone out there can come up with some new leads.
Christmas cheer to all
Eager Bega.

James and Sarah Curran had five children, the eldest son, born 24th July, 1750 John Philpot, then came Laurence, then James, then a fourth son whose name has not been discovered. The daughter's name was Bridget.
Records of the granting of marriage licence bonds to four of these five as follows:-
John Philpot Curran and Sarah Creagh, 1777
Bridget Curran and Garrett Graham 1779
Laurence Curran and Ann Webb, 1779
James Curran and Anne Bury, 1791.

Hi - Whilst this is an old thread it's never too late to post additional info that may be of use: The attached appeared in the 2nd Jan 1866 edition of the 'Constitution' or Cork advertiser.

Thank you Shorts for your post, every little bit of info often reveals something new. My main interest is the descendants of Bridget Graham nee Curran. I have not been able to establish a certified or confirmed link to my family. A cousin has said the link is via Mary Curran Graham daughter of Bridget, Mary is supposed to have married a John McAuliffe and then had a daughter Johanna Elizabeth. Eager Bega

Shorts and GAJM would appear that I never replied to GAJM in 2006 my apologies for that oversight. Eager Bega. :(
