Title: Charles Lowe 1841/51 census look up

Hi

I would be grateful if someone could look up Charles & Elizabeth Lowe for me (possibly a farmer) .  His daughter should be Maria Lowe (possibly 43 in 1881) who lived in Whitwell (which I had originally assumed would appear under Derbyshire but now realise was Nottinghamshire.

Had a look and came up with these:-

1841 Kirkby Parks, Kirkby in Ashfield, Basford, Nottinghamshire, England

Charles Lowe     Male      18     b.Notts

No other Lowes mentioned, looks like he's working as a labourer to farmer, Samuel Heath.

Charles the son married an Elizabeth in 1871 (I think)

Charles Lowe (the father) died 1857 and was buried 4 Dec 1857 age 57 in Whitwell

There are several baptism's at Warsop
28-7-1836 Maria dau of Charles & MARGARET Lowe abode CW ( Church Warsop) father a servant.
Other children to this couple
9-9-1838 Emma
24-7-1831 Samuel
7-3-1829 Charles father a labourer
13-1-1828 Mary   ""
19-2-1826 Hannah ""
Then there is a Charles & Mary
28-7-1850 Emma father a servant
1-3-1845 Charles  ""

Then there is a Charles and ELIZA, but this Charles is a cordwainer.

7-12-1839 Margaret Lowe aged 33 abode CW notes wife of Charles.
19-2-1833 Charles Lowe aged 4 son of Charles & Margaret.
3-7-1840 Emma Lowe aged 2 Dau of Charles & Margaret (deceased)

Marriage Carlton in Lindrick
24-7-1842 Charles Lowe & Mary Ann Cocking

Suz has them spot on in the census'

Just to add though there is another marriage in Warsop
2-4-1855 Charles Lowe and Eliza Coupe, he would be the cordwainer baptising children in Warsop.

I'd been ill for a while and put my research to one side but your enthusiasm has made me dig out my old records and now I'm going to start digging again.  ;D
